To be clear, I'm not advocating for RWD minivans lol, for this sort of vehicle FWD is fine.

We actually had a RWD minivan when I was a kid, a 1987 Ford Aerostar. FWD makes minivans better lol

With the possible exception of the Toyota Previa, most of the RWD minivans at the time were tall, ungainly, narrow for their height, and somewhat unstable, with poor road manners. The Ford and GM models (Aerostar, Astro/Safari) were also done on classic pick-up truck frames, adding to their poor road manners and unstable handling. I can remember watching a 16-year-old kid roll an Aerostar clean over on its back just a couple of blocks from my house. Fortunately, he wasn't badly hurt (the roof held, and didn't collapse). I and a couple of other people helped get him out of it just before the emergency vehicles arrived.
