What an excellent Super Bowl commercial. One of the best I have ever seen.

You'd think, though, that aging bikers would be more attracted to a Charger or Challenger Hellcat than a 150-200K AMG.

Good point, but still a good advert.

This Lexus commercial had no story. When it was over I was confused and asked myself "Did I miss something?" Not impressed at all...car looks great though!

I thought the whole theme was to relate the moves of the dancer to the lines of the car but I may be wrong.

Just curious--as a new owner but of an older Lexus model with more, "ahem," conventional styling, perhaps you guys can educate me.

I personally find the current crop of Lexi, while no doubt technically superb, to have really awful styling. It seems someone at Corporate made the decision to go weird, perhaps to increase appeal to a different generation. But to me, just bizarre. Same thing with the new Prius.

So, my question is, how is this radical change affecting sales? Do people like this Star Wars look, or is it time for another course change? I can attest quietly listening to a salesman extolling the virtues of a new Lexus on the showroom floor last week to a potential buyer while my car was in for minor service. At the end, the client turned to his friend, smiled, and just said, "Too ugly for me!" End of sales opportunity.

But if these machines are doing well in the marketplace, then I guess the Toyota executives know something I don't.

^ The RX, NX, and GX SUV's are selling pretty darn well. So is the IS and ES sedan. The RC coupe, GS and LS sedans aren't moving at all, I'm sure the LS isn't moving because its a 10 year old design being replaced for next model year. Personally I like the new aggressive look in the sedans/coupes, as the previous designs were just way too conservative and boring IMO. However the look doesn't translate well to the SUV's, which look way overstyled and ridiculous IMO.

LC is clearly aimed at the younger audience. But with precious airtime, I hope the TV version has less dancing.
The flashes of the car are too brief and seizure inducing
