Default Saw a Toyota Celsior today

First time I have ever seen this, did two double takes. Was wondering if there was something perhaps in the tail lamps that would give away whether it was a rebadge LS430 or an imported real deal Japan model.

I'd say its the real deal. RHD imports from Japan are a lot more common in Canada due to their laws being a lot more lax about importing foreign cars. Also looks like the owner destroyed it with that VIP/Hella-flush look, ie dropping the suspension to 1" of ground clearence, putting way negative camber on the wheels and running huge wheels with tires that are too narrow for the wheel. Of course if I'm just judging from the rear bumper, that car looks pretty beat up/trashed anyways.

Yes, I agree......it looks like the owner tried to so some at least some slamming on a vehicle that really wasn't designed for it.

I also agree with Henry that Japanese-built Celsiors are most likely to be RHD.

I agree. Based on what I see of the rear licence plate, I believe that it is a re-badge. Japanese plates are a different size than Canadian (and US) plates, and cars imported from Japan would require a bracket to adapt the installation bolts on the original to the North American plate. I don't see such an adaptation bracket.

the fact that it's all modified makes me think it's likely debadged
