Yep....there's no getting around the laws of physics.

However, that little experiment illustrates one reason (among several) why unibody vehicles usually aren't rated to tow as much as BOF. Large, heavy frame-rails with cross-members, which the tow-hitch is attached to, underneath the vehicle, not only help anchor and stabilize the load behind the vehicle, but also help prevent (not necessarily eliminate) some of that side-to-side fishtailing if the load behind isn't balanced properly.
