Thanks!
Thanks for your input! Very helpful!
(Moderator addition: OP edited post after answers below, but to clarify so answers make sense, OP bought '16 Q5, not happy, thinking about trading for CPO '13 RX)

I wish! Since I already have negative equity in the Audi it would be foolish to amp it up more buying another brand new car at the price Lexus wants for the 2016's. I'm not in a position to make that kind of move. Had I not blundered on the Audi I would have more money to work with...

If you ever really REALLY consider getting rid of your car for something else, you made a bad purchase decision. I say go for the RX, but you still got to thoroughly check the car before making another buy.

It seems like you'd be better off toughing it out with the Audi and eat up some depreciation before making a move to something else. After some adjustment, the things that bug you now might not seem so bad.

If you make a switch now, you will definitely lose $. But in return, you'd gain happiness. Personally, I'd stick it out. It is very very common to not like certain things with any new car. Then after a half year, one gets used to them and all ends up fine. There is a high chance you'll also find things you don't like with the RX. If you can get over the current hump you are on, I think you'll be happy with the Audi. They rank quite high.
Best wishes.

Yes let's spend all that money on a luxury SUV only to "live with it" and "let it be a lesson".

Well some people make spur of the moment or emotional decisions and then ask for other's opinion when they face reality. The least to do is provide them with information to either correct their earlier "mistake" or how to cut their losses. In this case there are worse options then to keep a car they earlier had an emotional reaction to.

With your logic, why wouldn't someone take out the payday loan so they can afford the big screen TV they really want, rather than the one they can afford?
Offering someone bad advice simply because it might make them feel good is still offering someone bad advice. If OP had decided to already do this, he or she wouldn't have posted. It's a request for some rationality because so far everything has been decided by emotions as the primary importance.

As I recall, the OP had a problem with the brakes on the Q5, but not sure what it was. He also mentioned issues that bugged him but didn't elaborate. Audi's overall reliability has been on the upswing lately.
