Fastlign? Any experience with it?
Has anyone seen this at the dealer service?
I took my beater Acccord in for the airbag recall this morning and as you drive in you pass thru what looks like a metal detector. Minutes later the person that takes your car gives you a printout that shows your toe alignments for each wheel to give to the service advisor.
It showed my rear left wheel was out of align (-0.20) so the SA suggested I could get it done since I was already here. It would normally cost $149.99 but since I was already getting serviced it would cost $99. I told him I would call him if I decided to get the alignment done...
I'm sure this is an accurate machine but I can see how it would scare people into getting unnecessary work done on your car.

I don't doubt the machine's accuracy. I doubt the tech printing the sheet. First rule of alignment is to always check the tire pressure to reduce the chance of getting false readings. No doubt most dealers will benefit from unsuspecting customers.
