Canadian with RX 350 wintering in Mexico (Yucatan-Merida)-just here-went to Toyota dealer for oil/filter change-was told Toyota Mexico will not permit any service to a Lexus product!Would not provide that service. I know Lexus is not sold in Mexico-learned that when getting temp import permit at Laredo-3 hour delay because LEXUS is not in their data base! Any help with this 'policy' and get-arounds would be helpful. Great faith in my 07 machine -200K kms-but really up the creek if major problem arose. Thanks, Bill
Well you're off warranty obviously. What's stopping you from finding an independent shop to do this if it's absolutely necessary. In hindsight, I guess you could have done the oil change before you crossed the border.
In a related note, my buddy in Panama still gets great service for his luxo-coach Ford F150 customized van at an independent in his western Panama town. Often just brings his parts in from Miami if he needs them.

I'm not a lawyer or legal expert, but, right off the bat, it sounds to me like somebody down there in that chain of command had a little too much Tequila for Christmas LOL.
