standing apart can be good or bad. i think the spindle grille is executed very well on a few cars (i like LS and LC for example), but on some lexus it looks bad

I like it but at that price range it can't even compete with less expensive sports cars for example the m4, which starts at $65k and will blow the doors off of this and the rcf, as a Lexus and bmw owner I just think Lexus should have done more. This is their flagship almost 100k sports coupe and it sports the exact same engine as two other cars smh.

Exclamation

I am sorry... But your logic is a bit broken...

Motortrend and the few others were given the LC mule to drive, it weighed 4,300 lbs and was reported as such.

FINAL NUMBERS will be announced once they have built a Final iteration of the production 2018 LC 500...

So far, all we have is projected weight and projected 0-60 .. Nothing More / Nothing Less

Anything else is pure speculation. Until a 99.99 % final unit is made.

Then you will have "Official Numbers" from Lexus.

MT also never reported that they driven the car without aluminium and carbon doors.

So we have it now, same as what we could have known before, it will weight about the same as RC, at 3968lbs.

I dont understand how could you guys think that LC500 would go 0-60 in 4.4s yet weight 330lbs more than RC that also goes 0-60 in 4.4s and has exactly the same engine and is RWD. RC-F transmission is not slow and 10 speed will certainly not shift to 60 faster than it, if anything it will have more gears to shift possibly.

How the car feels and drives is another set of beans and thats something that will be subjective regardless of its actual performance.

This is the best iteration of the spindle grill IMO.

They changed the overlap around the waist. On our cars, the trim sticks out a lot in front if the grill, reaching an apex at the waist. It doesn't stick out as much and it looks much, much more flush. I like it A LOT better.

If you're comparing this car to an M4 or an RCF you don't get this car. This car is about beauty, style and grand touring. Its aimed at a totally different consumer. I would never consider buying an M4 or an RC-F...but I would definitely buy this.

Great looking car! I agree with evident, want to know drivetrain.
Hopefully ACTUAL engine and exhaust sounds will be heard, not "pre-recorded" (GS F)

I know they need to compete with Mercedes and BMW, who both have large convertibles, but in reality only 1% of cars sold today in North America are convertibles, and look at where Lexus has the largest market share. Europeans still love convertibles, but Lexus hasn't quite cornered that market yet. Mercedes and BMW... goes without saying. That is most likely the reason they are waiting so long.

And these comments are coming from someone who owns a G37 convertible.

I look at this car like the SC430. A GT type car with enough power to have fun on a drive but not built for competition. A one-of-a-kind sexy beast.
If they build an F model that may be a performance oriented model. But this looks to be a GT. It's too big and heavy to be a trackstar.

Default RC-F Style wing

Looks like a future variant (LC-F)? will have a RC-F style active wing. These photos and illustrations appear to have been accidentally dumped in with the LC500 press package.

I hope it has usable back seats like the old SC300/400 (unlike the sc430).

LC500 is more than enough for me....leave the F for the hp monster

Like what Henry said, I haven't been excited about lexus in such a long time....and ever since the 2nd gen GS for me.

Please post a picture of the grill the way you would design it.
