Mazda nailed it again. Hopefully, the design is used for both CX-9 and CX-7.
The mule running around a few weeks back takes a lot of cues from this concept. I have a high hope that Mazda will bring another beautiful product to the market again.

Go MAZDA! Man look at that beautiful design. Love the side & front of this more so than the new RX personally. No over exaggerated creases along the side, front looks decent while the back was tastefully done. Nice. ONLY problem I had with the CX models was getting in and out of them. Seems to be a theme with many cars. I kept hitting my head on the extremely raked pillars due to their pursuit of low profile. A killer for me. Can't be bonking my head everyday. Lol. Otherwise a solid car. Liked the ride a LOT.

cino, quite probably but it will probably be stretched vertically so mortals could actually sit upright in it.

It is small. It is only a bit longer and wider, but much lower than the CX-5. It really is more of an Outback version of a (Mazda6) station wagon.
Dimensions:
- Length: 4600mm (181.1 inch) -- 60mm (2.4inch) longer than the CX-5
- Width: 1900mm (74.8 inch) -- 60mm (2.4inch) wider than the CX-5
- Height: 1500mm (59 inch) -- 45mm (1.8 inch) taller than the Mazda3 but 170mm (6.7 inch) LOWER than the CX-5
- Wheelbase: 2700mm (106.3 inch) -- same as the CX-5 but 50mm (2 inch) shorter than the Mazda6 wagon
We thought Mazda’s Koeru concept was going to be a preview of the next-generation CX-9 mid-size crossover, but now that we have details in hand following its Frankfurt auto show unveiling, we’re not so sure.
It looks like a crossover, and indeed, Mazda calls this a “unique and daring interpretation” of one, but this is not the CX-9. At 4600 mm long, 1900 wide, and riding on a 2700-mm wheelbase, the Koeru is only marginally larger than the current CX-5; the only major difference is in the concept’s 1500-mm height, just 45 mm taller than a Mazda3, and a heck of a lot lower-slung than the CX-5’s 1,670-mm roofline. There’s no way a third row of seats is going to fit in a vehicle this compact, and certainly not under a tail that apes the Infiniti QX70.
The Koeru might signal the direction Mazda will take with its next round of crossovers, but if the CX-9 looks like this, it’ll be in general terms, and not in any specific sense.
All that said, this is a good-looking design study with elements that would make for an elegant evolution of any of its current designs.
Mazda provides no specs beyond dimensions, saying only that the concept adopts “the latest SkyActiv technologies,” and that it is significantly quieter “and more relaxing” due to Mazda’s breakthrough noise attenuation tech.

I believe that any production version of this concept will much larger -- longer and higher, to be similar in size to the current CX-7 or CX-9 -- or if it stays at the size of this concept, it ill be labelled as a Mazda3 or Mazda6 wagon, Outback / Allroad version.
The Koeru concept, as it is now, is just too close in size to the CX-5.

no, it is lower because it is next gen Mazda 6 Wagon SUV :-)
