please if anyone can help me with some helpful insight

My Wife has a car it is only register in her name however the Insurance is in both of us name because she does not have a License, Im a US Resident and would like to drive the car from Canada into the USA what paperwork do I need, or how can I go about it cause she is a Canadian resident and im a USA resident I want to drive the car to the USA its a 1997 Lexus ES
and in the future maybe about 5 months after doing all the repair I would like to register it in my name would I just get a bill of sale from her in Canada to register it in the USA Florida
I don't know what to do if I need import license or if it will be a problem driving it to the USA with a permission letter

Are you planning to drive the car into the USA just one time? Or back and forth frequently?

drive it just one way then after I fix it up maybe a few months later on I was planning on having my wife send me a bill of sale seen as its in her name alone to register it here in the USA in my name
