The typical X solidity remains will strong character lines and subtle surface detailing as does muscular front and rear wheel arches and a dynamic roof line with shallow rear windscreen.

Typical X3 Characteristic elements such as the T-Shaped rear lights , rising glasshouse , kicked up hoffmeister kick and sharp features are again carried over to the G01. A new feature continued is the flicked up headlights connecting to the grille but with the headlights utilising the new L shape in which Laser headlights will become available.

A strong but wider facial impression is identified by a wider and angular kidney grille.

For the first time the X3 will be offered an L variant with seating for Seven.

The X3 will become the first new generation of BMW X models to use the latest CLAR architecture utilising the weight load bearing section in Carbon Fiber along with other lightweight materials contributes to a loss of 100KG over the F25.

This will also make it the perfect candidate for the first BMW X3M model.

As of the current model, X3 will continue to be built in Spartanburg South Carolina.

The new BMW X3 arrives in 2016. And will be the first production model to feature the new design language. Although the first BMW SAV to feature the new design will be shown as a concept car ahead of the arrival of the BMW X3 but lays the Template for future models as Vision X.

That's the way it's headed....F30 3-series has the exact same dimensions as E39 5-series. F10 5-series is based off the F01 7-series platform. F20 1-series hatch is only a little bit smaller than my old E46 3-series sedan, and I expect the 2016 will shrink that gap further.

Love this new look of the X3
