Possible guess price/Rarity/2016 GSF in 2018

Just to chuck some numbers around
Let's reference a 550i RWD
A nicely optioned one is close to $80K (without B and O sound and plenty of other stuff left off the list).
You gotta figure Lexus will price above this car so I am guessing you will be at $85k plus or minus for the GS-F with a couple of options.
Let's use 15% annual depreciation for the base case, so a 2 yr old GS-F could be about $68K.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure. The LS is a special car, and I have a feeling that the next gen LS will go upmarket and be significantly more in price. The LS is the sort of car that I don't feel like I have to have the latest thing.
But thats the other great thing, if I change my mind I can just give it back and get a new one!

krava, seems you're comparing the (small) additional cost of an extended warranty on a car you already own to buying a 2 year used GSF in 2018 for which we don't know pricing or depreciation, or anything.
might as well ask when an asteroid will do significant damage to the planet.
as has been said, if someone drives 12k mi. a year for example, owning really isn't better than leasing unless you'll keep the car for a LONG time. and obviously if you do more than say 12k a year and you keep a car a long time, leasing is out of the question cost-wise vs. 'drive the beater into the ground'.
i only do about 12k a year, and my recent purchase was the first time i considered leasing, but in the end i bought because i figure i'll probably still keep my car 6+ years. however even then i'm not really 'saving money' vs. the lease because my 6+ year old vehicle will have continued to depreciate and be worth less against the next vehicle, so there's no ultimate right choice. in my case, since i like newer cars and also expect tech to explode in the next few years, i probably should have leased but it's too late now, but doesn't bother me.
nice deal on the rlx, but as you know, it doesn't sell well (hence your 'good deal') but that will also be a downside issue when you sell it.
bottom line: there's really no good deals.
and fwiw, i don't think the GSF is going to be available in big numbers, so therefore, not that many will be sold. this could be good or bad for resale, no one knows.

It's .57 a mile. For me that's about $9k a year. My deduction is getting close to $20,000 a year at this point.
