Which Model Is the Flagship Lexus?
When I read the words "Lexus flagship," two cars raced directly to the forefront of my crowded mind: the RX and the LS. And they're still kind of racing.

As much as I love the Lexus RX. The LS has always been the flagship car and it'll remain that way. IMHO, the RX is an entry level Lexus. The LS is an entirely different beast!

Ls
LS 460/460L
LS 600h L
Now that we have the NX which now is the entry level CUV. Curious to see when the NX 200t/300h will ever outsell the RX in the future.
On the sedan side the ES was the lone entry level sedan for the longest time. Then the IS came out in 2000 and to this day the IS has never outsold the ES.

The LS is the only car that can be truly classified as the Flagship model . It was the original and is certainly the ultimate Lexus model ...which is why I drive one !

RX a flagship? lololol.
it's a practical refined midsize utility vehicle but it's no flagship.

Flagship to me signifies the epitome of luxury, materials, and engineering in a mass produced, every day package from which all other models derive options and styling. For Lexus it will always be the LS. Big V8 with RWD and can be packaged into the 6 digits. The RX isn't even the best SUV they have. That honor goes to the LX. The LFA is a singular purpose driven vehicle and is their halo car, but not their flagship.
This is why even with the NSX in it's future, Acura continues without a flagship model and struggles to be taken seriously, same with Infiniti. This is why Caddy is pushing out bigger vehicles with the CT6 and a future flagship model to really compete with the S-class.
