Default New possible S2000 replacement

There are more and more rumors Honda is going to offer a replacement for the S2000 but it will be mid engined and will be based on the NSX platform and will be priced much higher then the last one.

Here are some renderings and rumors if you can read Japanese. It is supposed to be powered by a higher tuned Civic R engine.

I'm becoming a serious Honda pessimist. They can't even get the NSX out after so many years and now they want to make an S2000 successor? Enough vaporware! Maybe Honda is happy sitting still and making money off Civics, CRVs and Accords.

I don't see Honda selling a sports car which would end up being its highest priced model. Why not just produce a better Miata?

As much as I'd like to believe this rumor I have to agree with this. And If it is true, I'm sure we are at least 3-5 years away from seeing it.
