Default Stupid Venza Blind Spot Mirrors?!

Man, this has got to be the dumbest thing. Wife just bought a new 2014 Venza V6 Limited 2 months ago. Car came with the built in factory blind spot mirrors. Thought we'd get use to it by now but man these make you second guess switching lanes every time.

Night time is worse. Everytime you pass a car you see multiple headlights of the same car so it looks like there are cars everywhere.

May not look too bad in these pictures, but they suck..

Anyone else have these? Opinions?

I'm looking for some stock ones that don't have these built in..

I like the ones you buy and just stick on. Thats what we had before. But it we positioned it on the bottom not the top. The location of these make it very confusing, plus the driver side needs to be adjust in more. All you really see is the 2nd lane over so you think there's a car there but it's 2 lanes over.

That's what we had before. It was perfect for her.

The Explorer V6 models don't have this feature.............but the 2.0 Ecoboost ones do (on the passenger side door mirror).

It eats up space on the actual mirror itself and IMHO, it's a dumb feature that thankfully hasn't spread to the V6 models (probably because you can get BLIS - Blind Spot Information System instead)

There was someone bashing their Accord Coupe a month or two ago that said the same thing.

so these are built into the actual mirror and not stuck on? If they didn't change the overall shape of the mirror, I think you might be able to buy the 2013 or 14 model year which didn't have it, and then swap out the glass

I despise those mirrors in mirrors. Throws me off every time, takes too much time to focus. Gimmie a normal mirror and BSM light

The honda mirror I just saw has something different - great idea, just make the left edge curve out...

Yeah, obviously a true blind spot warning/monitor system is best, but lots of people don't want to pay the extra for that system, this is automakers trying to give a lower cost option.
