The Toyota N Platform was first used by the 1989 LS, and this was subsequently shared by the Toyota Crown, Toyota Aristo/Lexus GS.

By 2012, the 2012-onwards 4GS and 2013-onwards 3IS used the Toyota "New" N Platform.
However, the 2012-18 Toyota Crowns continued to use the Toyota old N Platform.

By late 2017 and 2018, the 2017 5LS and 2018 Toyota Crown shard the all new GA-L platform.

Chinese assembled 2015-onwards Toyota Crown in left hand drive arguably looks a bit more handsome, because it was released 3 years later.

True, because such a small country has fewer million miles of bitumen.

Honestly, if you'd blindfolded me and asked me to pick which car of the two today was the S Class out of the two I'd have picked the Toyota ten times out of ten.

Have to say I'm very impressed!
My 2012-onward series GS is significantly quieter cruising especially wind and tire noise than my friend's 2009-16 Series E350 sedan.
