glad to see Infiniti and Lexus FINALLY apply this power plant to their line ups. The VW group and even Hyundai has done this a while back.

yup. go figure these 'developments' are only so car co's can comply with regulations and tax policies to continue to make their vehicles somewhat appealing.

so the masses need to get used to 2.0T engines as the norm.

are they good engines? sure for what they are - several years ago driving a GTI with 2.0T and DSG i was very impressed. but it's no smooth 6 or even better, and 8.

Well, lets not forget that they are replacing smaller variants of 6 cylinder engines - 2.5 in IS250 and G25, and 3.0 in 328. Larger 6 cylinder engines are still offered by all manufacturers. While I personally would prefer the old 6 cylinders for refinement, these new turbo charged 4s clearly offer more power.
