I wasn't sure where to post this, so I apologize if this isn't the correct forum.

I bought a JDM 1UZ off ebay to swap into my 1993 Toyota Pickup. The listing said it came with the uncut harness and ECU. I believed this but much to my dismay it arrived with a cut harness and no ECU. You know how that goes... so anyways I've still got the motor. It's got all the sensors on it, etc.

But my question is can I use a USDM harness and ECU to swap it into my Pickup or should I try to source a JDM Harness and ECU?

In what research I have done on the subject a JDM ECU is a popular upgrade to USDM Lexuses with the 1UZ as they tend to be tuned for a bit more HP, etc. and seems to be a plug and play option. But I know the JDM units came sans EGR. But other than that is there anything that would make me want a JDM harness since I'm going to be cutting it and splicing it into my Pickup harness?
