The fact that they have numerous versions of what's basically the same thing means that they can make a more conservative design for the masses, and then a bit more edgy design with some flair with the more specialized versions like these. As opposed to a pretty much one size fits all Lexus IS. I don't know what it is about this 3GC that wakes me up, whereas the other 3er designs have put me to sleep lately. I know part of it is the M-Sport package trim, but also the sleeker profile and the sheet metal I think. Looks very appealing to me.

Yeah brand power. If you've got it, flaunt it, and use it to your advantage.

So, BMW created 4-series to distinguish from 3 sedan and back to four doors again?

Well it does look appealing. How would the 428i 4 cylinder compare to the v6 in the is350?

The price difference between a fully loaded IS350 F-Sport and comparable 435i GC will be huge. Even a comparable 3 series is over $8000 more in Canada. The GC will probably carry a 2-3k premium over that. Hard to have buyers remorse when the price difference is that large.

BMW's N20 is rated at 241/255 but apparently it's really closer to 275/275. It would probably feel faster in traffic than the IS350 because the full torque is made much lower in the rev range. In situations where you can wring it out, the V6 would probably come out on top.

Agreed. The whole "4 door coupe" thing just makes no sense to me. Sort of seems like an answer to a question that nobody asked. There is nothing "coupe" about this car.

If this car has the same crappy steering that plagues the F30 cars, I'd want no part of it. BMW's insane pricing would also be a deal-killer.

I was recently in a limbo zone. I almost got myself into signing a lease contract for a fully loaded 335i. I was so tempted to do so. 3 series or 4 series are still great cars. They are definitely on my radar and will stay there. Bimmer looks awesome and the tech offered is really nice (HUD, 360 camera view). I actually compared Harman Kardon vs ML in 3IS. HK sounded a lot more premium than ML To me ML in 3IS is an average sound system. My no means can I call it premium. I don't know why so many people give this system great reviews. What 3IS excels is its overall handling and comfort compared to its completion. The overall handling package that lexus offers is unbeatable by completion although it may be behind in engine/power/mpg department. Also it offers better value for the money compared to competition.

I am actually thinking really seriously about RCF now. Damn that machine looks awesome and I am assuming V8 will sound and perform unrealistically well. Pretty sure RCF will have great chassis, stiff body and sport diff and oh my. I would choose RFC over M4 any day. Oh God please help to cure my addiction. Soooo tempting but soo expensive. Hello my name is Salvadorik and I am a carholic.
