To me, push button selection makes so much more sense than a traditional shift lever. Simpler, cleaner, and potentially cheaper to implement.

It looks good overall!

Maybe there is a lockout on the no-no buttons (R, P etc.) while in motion.

This is not a rebadge of the Ford Escape. They simply share bones. The sheet metal and cabin materials/design are all Lincoln

This is a handsome little devil

Default Lincoln releases price/specs/equipment for new 2015 MKC.

Though the 2015 MKC has not been officially released yet, and probably won't be for at least a few more months (I'm eagerly waiting for a chance to review it), Lincoln now has posted the prices, specs, standard/optional equipment, packages, colors, financing, etc...... on its web site Build-Your-Own feature. As the Lincoln reps at the D.C. auto show last week indicated, prices for the base 2.0 turbo Ecoboost FWD model will start at $33,995 (which includes freight/destination). And, again as the reps promised, the gorgeous Amythist purple (Tahitian Pearl) paint displayed at the D.C. show will be a production color...and, at least according to the site, at no extra cost. Lincoln, if it wanted to, could probably charge extra for this color and get it....IMO, it is THAT classy-looking.

Those of you who followed my comments and posts on the recent D.C Auto Show know that I already have a high opinion of this vehicle (which is more than I can say for most other current Lincolns). I was quite impressed with it even just seeing it up on the turntable without a chance to actually sit in it and drive it. That chance, of course, will come later, when it is formally released.

So, for any of you in CAR CHAT who are interested in this vehicle.....here you are. Have fun:

Interesting, so this is smaller than the MKX? Doesn't look a whole lot different.

Yet another suv/cuv. Lincoln only has two cars and 4 utility vehicles and people wonder why they are not competitive.

The luxury CUV segment is still pretty hot. This should compete with the Q5, X3, GLK, RDX, SRX etc. I don't know if Lincoln will get the same buyer, but I bet the MKC does well for them. I hope so IMO it's a nice looking package.

They're just working with what they have. The MKC is a competitive product that could be put out relatively quickly to boost sales.

I'm sure the consumer will be very similar to that of the RDX at the very least.

RDX sales are utterly perplexing outside its being bought by loyal Honda fans asit is by far the worst in class missing basic features a Civic has with a body as bland as it comes with a beak added. This Lincoln is another CUV far better, it really looks great.
