Why do people customize garbage cars

I'm not trying to insult you, just make a point. You're the perfect example, you love your old Lexus, modify it to your taste and thats great. But, your car brand new wasn't even $40,000, I know...I bought one brand new. For you to say someone has no business modifying a car that cost less than 40-45,000 is frankly, hilarious.

A new camry or accord is worth more than twice your ES? Why does cost of a car matter? What matters is how the modification is done. saw a 2009ish s550 with AWFUL autozone led strip lights near the headlights. Just because the car was/is expensive doesn't justify whatever modification you want. Personally i don't really modify anything at all (just a light tint) but for those who do, more to them if they do it correctly.

I don't mean simple easy cheap customizations like plasti dip, I'm talking about getting it wrapped, getting new colored brake pads, getting your headlights/taillights tinted. Why put money into a car like a accord or a camry. What goes through these peoples heads I don't get it. Your driving a garbage car, its going to be a garbage car no matter what exterior customizations you do to it

But--different strokes for different folks. I'll drive my car stock, and others will customize. It's all good.
