Nice trade.

I rented a Mustang a few weeks ago and enjoyed it - my only real complain is that the steering wheel has no place to put your thumbs! It forces you to a very high grip on the wheel - not very ideal for tracking.

Congratulations. Quite a trade-up. Just don't expect Prius gas mileage.

Reminds me of that Top Gear UK test ,where The Stig was driving a Prius flat-out ***** to the wall, while Clarkson was sitting behind him yawning in an E92 M3, the one with the 4.0L V8. After whatever the test distance was, lots and lots of laps around their test track, the M3 actually ended up with better mileage being babied than the Prius flat out. LOL

Nice! I thought I had the biggest Prius swap when we traded ours on the Jeep LOL.

I'm with Joe, need black stripes...

Enjoy it. As someone who had a Prius let me tell you...life's too short for a car guy to have a Prius!

This was exactly my thought process. We originally bought the prius because my wife was commuting nearly 100 miles a day. Two years later I somehow ended up driving the prius. Not exactly sure how it happened but it did. I contemplated buying it for a few days but ultimately it came down to knowing that every month I make a payment, I will be genuinely be happy that I get to drive the car and it will be worth every cent. I'll only have a payment for a few years anyway - well worth it!

Yup, same way with the Jeep. Went from having a vehicle that I really disliked to having a vehicle I really like, even though neither were my daily driver. I don't mind paying the extra gas for the Jeep at all. After all...its only three times as much LOL

Perhaps so, but a new Shelby has a lot more engine than an M3.

Well yes, but he was talking about the correlation between the Prius to a V8 car as is the OPs scenario similar to how Top Gear tested the two because the "viewers" wanted more normal car reviews rather than hero cars. As the test showed a Prius taken to its limits on a round about course over a period of time, then a M3 had to match those limits over the same course and period. The results were that a M3 is more efficient than a Prius when run to its limit
