I always make out like I love it, whether I do or not. Then, I have to name it for them. I name all my cars (This one is Lexie) so all my family and friends have me come up with a name for theirs.

Usually, especially if they are nearby (and sometimes even if they aren't), they get a complimentary bottle of SCRATCH-OUT for their new car. Excellent stuff (I use it myself). It takes fine scratches, stains, discolorations, etc.... out of the top layer of the paint, leaves a smooth, polished (but non-waxed) surface, and keeps the paint looking like new as much as possible.

Any chance you are in Brookline as I used to see a both maroon and a black 612 when I lived in Washington Square?
No that would not have been me although I know that area very well having lived on St. Paul Street many years ago.

It's funny you mention your Greek heritage and the common custom with Italians. When I saw the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding I saw them at Easter playing what we called "the egg game" and up until then I thought no family in the world played that game! It was very cool to see that.

It looks like I'm about to buy a new Ultrasonic Blue 250f-sport vert and I just showed a work mate a great picture of one on the internet and I can tell she was underwhelmed and was struggling to be positive about it. Oh well, it's a great price to pay because you love something so much that others may not.

Actually, there is some truth to that. For those of you who are Catholics, the Roman Catholic Church actually has a new-car prayer/blessing rite. It should be in the book of ritual-prayers that every priest carries with him.

I didn't even know that! For me it was always something your devout Auntie or Uncle would tell you to do

Congrats and many happy miles. I used to date this Russian Jewish girl and they used to tie dollar bills to the "oh ****" handles on the interior . It was funny driving around with dollars stuck to your interior.

One of my friends just picked up a new 2013 TSX.

I said congratulations along with all my other friends as we fawn over her new car.

I usually say "Nice car".

Unless it's one of my friends who buys a trashed out old Lexus project car. Then I'm like "What is wrong with this fool? They know darn well they can't afford to fix that thing up".
