Audi A3 Clubsport Quattro concept rendered in RS3 three-door and Sportback flavors
Will likely have a 5-cylinder 2.5 TFSI engine
X-Tomi Design envisioned the upcoming RS3 in both three-door and five-door Sportback guises based on the recently unveiled A3 Clubsport quattro sedan concept.
Several days ago Audi dropped a major hint concerning the RS3 with the A3 Clubsport quattro concept presented as a sedan. As expected, the concept has fueled the imagination of independent car designers such as X-Tomi who created three- and five-door versions of the concept. The aggressive body kit of the concept was carried over and matched with a lowered suspension, massive alloys, roof-mounted spoiler and a dual oval-shaped exhaust setup.
Taking into consideration the concept's body style, Audi could decide to offer this generation of the RS3 as a sedan and will likely be powered by a 2.5 TFSI five-cylinder engine. In the clubsport quattro it churns 525 PS (386 kW) but in the production version it will likely generate somewhere in the region of 400 PS (294 kW) sent to the quattro all-wheel drive system via a 7-speed S tronic transmission.
An official reveal of the Audi RS3 is expected to occur in the months to come, possibly in October at the Paris Motor Show.

That blue one looks great and all but the ones being sold currently are so beyond bland I have a hard time even noticing its the new A3. They have really milked this shape for all its worth, handsome no doubt, but so predictable. I guess though a black suit never goes out of style.

The Audi RS3 Cabriolet was speculatively rendered by Theophilus Chin, who used the clubsport quattro concept as a base for his work.
A week ago the German premium manufacturer hinted the next generation of the RS3 hot-hatch with the A3 clubsport quattro concept, heading to Worthersee later this month.
Nothing was said about a convertible version of the car, but this virtual creation gives us an idea of what the model could look like.
The upcoming Audi RS3 is expected to be revealed later this year, probably during the Paris Motor Show in October.

SR Performance has introduced their new tuning program for the Audi S3 sedan.
Described as a "low altitude racer," the car has a black roof wrap, an adjustable KW coilover suspension and 20-inch alloy wheels from the Audi A6.
Under the hood, the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine has been equipped with an MTM M-Cantronic ECU, a BN downpipe and an HJS catalytic converter. Thanks to these modifications, the engine develops 380 PS (279 kW) and 470 Nm (346 lb-ft) of torque - an increase of 80 PS (58 kW) and 90 Nm (66 lb-ft). This enables the sedan to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds which is an improvement of 0.7 seconds.

Audi has released a couple of videos and additional photos of the S3 Sedan-based A3 clubsport quattro concept which debuts today in Austria at Wörthersee.
Hinting at an imminent RS3 arrival, the A3 clubsport quattro concept is being showcased in two official videos published by Audi today, coinciding with the vehicle's debut at Wörthersee. The next RS3 is likely to take the shape of a sedan and will probably come with the concept's 2.5-liter 5-cylinder turbo but we assume will be considerably toned down from the clubsport's 525 PS (386 kW) and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft).
In the concept, the engine works with a seven-speed S tronic transmission sending output to a quattro all-wheel drive system, propelling the 1,527 kg A3 clubsport to 62 mph (100 km/h) in as little as 3.6 seconds before topping out at 192 mph (310 km/h). It sits 10mm lower than the S3 Sedan and benefits from carbon ceramic brakes, 21-inch alloy wheels and matrix LED headlights.

Let's be straight; Audi's new A3 Clubsport Quattro Concept is an RS3 in everything but the name, from its appearance with the boxed fenders to the five-cylinder turbocharged engine grunting under the hood. And perhaps one of the reasons why Audi is displaying it at this week's Wörthersee Meeting in Austria is to get some feedback from its most loyal customers.
"The Audi A3 clubsport quattro concept shows our car and tuning fans at the Wörthersee just how much sporty potential there is in the A3 family and in our top‑of‑the‑line engines such as the 2.5 TFSI," commented Audi development boss Ulrich Hackenberg. "We have pushed the limits in every respect with this show car: power, dynamics, sound, design."
We already knew the basics about the car, including the pumped up 2.5-liter TFSI with 525PS (518hp) and 600 Nm (442.5 lb-ft) linked to a 7-speed S Tronic dual-clutch transmission and quattro all‑wheel drive system, but today, we got our hands on a few dozen more photos and more importantly, the first videos of the concept.
In the clips, we see how the huge air brake that covers roughly half the trunk lid and which is electrohydraulic actuated, works on the road. According to Audi, at 250 km/h (155.3 mph), "the air brake reduces the stopping distance by around twelve meters (39.4 ft), in part because the ESC can allocate more braking power to the rear axle thanks to the increased downforce".
In concept form, the A3 Clubsport Quattro is capable of reaching 310 km/h (193 mph) with the 0-100km/h sprint covered in just 3.6 seconds. A production version of the car with the RS3 badge would likely be toned down in regards to its performance numbers.

Audi has introduced the fuel-efficient A3 1.4 TFSI ultra.
Available in four body styles, the model will come equipped with a 1.4-liter TFSI four-cylinder engine that produces 150 PS (110 kW). This will enable the three-door hatchback to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8.1 seconds and hit a top speed of 220 km/h (136.7 mph). Thanks to cylinder on demand technology, owners can expect to average 4.7 L/100km (50 mpg US / 60.1 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 109 g/km.
In related news, Audi announced plans to offer an A3 ultra sedan with a 1.6-liter TDI engine that develops 110 PS (81 kW). It will enable the model to average 3.3 L/100km (71.2 mpg US / 85.6 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 88 g/km.

Audi has just (officially) announced pricing for four new models that will be added to its U.S. range of A3 compact cars later this summer, including the sporty S3 sedan, a diesel version of the A3 saloon and the A3 Convertible.
We're guessing most of you will be interested in learning about the S3 first, so we'll start with the hot saloon that carries an MSRP (excluding destination) of $41,100. The S3 has a 292hp 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four connected to a standard dual clutch S tronic transmission (Europe also gets a 6sp stick shift, but there's no mention of it in the U.S. release) and quattro all-wheel drive.
Its closest adversary is the Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG, which is more powerful at 355hp, but also more expensive at $47,450 (plus D&H).
The other new A3 models are the soft-top Cabriolet that is offered with either a 168hp (170PS) 1.8T FWD or 217hp (220PS) 2.0T quattro powertrain, and the A3 TDI sedan priced from $32,600 (plus D&H) that sports a 148hp (150HP) 2.0-liter turbo diesel driving the front wheels through an S tronic transmission.
