If the V8 is bad, this TT I6 will be horrible.

The E9X V8 is the sweetest sounding engine in a car under $70k.

I'm pretty attracted to the 5.0s in the IS-F and Boss 302. E9X is pretty sweet though

It's still throaty and sounds like a proper V8. I had a previous-gen SL63 and just picked up a current gen (technically, I pick it up next week). It's still plenty loud, trust me. You can hear it some in Chris Harris' video:

On a side note, people seem to forget that worst sounding M3 to date has got to be the stock E46 M3. I remember when it came out- people were up in arms about how raspy and nasty it sounded.

But there are still exception within that rule, like the 6 Gran Coupe, I understand it is a coupe shape and all, but is still a 4-doors sedan

If I own a M4, I would change the badge back to M3!

I guess is just a car, we are fussing too much over them
4 door coupe, haven't heard of that before? ask mb, they created that with the cls

the e9x v8 is sweet after 4000rpm when it starts to scream, and i agree it's freaking nice. i picks that over c63 and isf any day.

however under 4000rpm it's really nothing, just some raw meh sound imho. actually a lot of my friends thought the same too when they asked me to rev the car

and i still think that's pretty true. it doesn't sound awesome but the car does go.

i guess good sound is always a plus, though i wouldn't make it a deal breaker. i rather have a good fast car that doesn't sound awesome than a blah car that sounds good

I said I know it is a 4 door coupe, but it is still a 4 doors sedan.

I don't think any engine sounds crazy sweet under 4k rpm.

That apply to everything, maybe except the LFA and C-GT.........but IDK, never rev one in my life.

Loud don't equal to sweet.

Sounds is more satisfying then speed

This is why I don't own a GTR anymore

I wish I didn't change, speed is cheap, sweet sounds is crazy expensive

c63 and isf sounds very consistent over the whole range imho. m3 on the other hand sounds "huh?" in low range but shines after that.

well just my opinion anyway

Maybe it's just me but I've never been super impressed with the m3 sound with a 6 cylinder

turbo inline 6 > big NA v8. all day, every day.
I'll take my sportscars without any NASCAR or full size pickup truck odor, thank you very much.

@ 2:25 ... the defense rests, your honor

BMW is known to pump in fake engine revving noises in the M5, I assume we will get more of this crap in the M4 to fool the poor owners into thinking it sounds awesome.

This admitted BMW fanboy says that particular honor goes to the V6 in the Jaguar F-Type.

Should be a good looking M3/M4!

The new M3/M4 Nurburgring videos seem to be noticeably faster than the e9x M3 also. Cant wait for the reveal.

Planning on doing an BMW European Delivery on it.
