I like what I see! It will be interesting to see which engines they bring to the US but regardless Macan will be a hit.

Honestly I can see somebody optioning up one of these overpriced Tiguan turd buckets to 60k with that big turbo diesel option.

I don't know how it will play out in the United States, but most Cayenne sales on continental Europe were not the high performance v8 and turbo v8 versions, over 2/3rds were the economical turbodiesel version.

And as a matter of fact, in the used market in Europe, you cannot give away a petrol v6 or v8 saloon car or SUV. The diesel versions hold their value so much better.
If we're talking U.S., I think you may have accidently snorted your eight ball. This car has nothing to do with the VW Tiquan and a lot to do with the Audi Q5. You'll note that not even the Audi Q5 is available with an NA 4-cylinder, so neither will this. It also won't be using Audi's supercharged V6, but rather a twin-turbo version porsche just debuted in the Panamera. I'd expect to see a version of the corporate turbo 4 and there will also be diesel and hybrid variants.

The diesel version is expected to make up almost of a third of Cayenne sales here, so gas models are selling just fine.

Hideous. I'm sure it'll "start" at $40k with a Cassette player and crank windows and approach $90k for a fully-loaded, top-trim Turbo model. And it'll sell like hotcakes. Woof.

That car looks great! Can't believe these are the same people that styled the Panamera

Default Porsche Macan teaser reveals unique quad-LEDs

Porsche Macan teaser reveals unique quad-LEDs

In truth, all-but-undisguised prototypes for the upcoming Porsche Macan compact crossover have been spotted galavanting all around the globe for some time now, but even the least-camouflaged examples have been caught wearing eyepatches covering their headlights and taillights. A dark new teaser image from Porsche clues us in to why that is – the baby Cayenne is getting unique quad-LED peepers up front.

Porsche has been hinting at lighting innovations in its production cars through recent concept reveals, including the stunning Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo showcar from last year's Paris Motor Show. The wagonized Panamera also featured four-point LED arrays up front, as well is in the rear, so it seems likely that this lighting will become a Porsche design signature going forward.

Powerpoint slides leaked from a recent dealer meeting suggest the Macan S will arrive packing a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6, while the Macan Turbo will boast a 3.6-liter force-fed unit, with both models receiving seven-speed PDK dual-clutch gearboxes. Pricing is expected to range from $52,000 for the S model to $75,000 for the Turbo.

Those lighted headlight shapes look too much like older Cadillac Sevilles. Bleh

It's a more affordable Cayenne. These are going to sell like hot-cakes.

I don't think Ferdinand Porsche ever envisioned a Porsche SUV, but his company is flourishing

I really think the Macan will take cues from the new 911 in its tail-lights.

The unicorn bare-bones Cayenne starts a tick under $50k so I expect this to be starting at ~$45k. Breathe and you'll be at $60k in no time.
