Looks very similar to the outgoing model but I really like the looks of both, so no complaints here

 

Some of you might mistake the gauge has no tachometer. I think the one showing the blue gauges are eco mode.
BMW has different gauges for difference driving mode, eco shows blue with charging gauge, normal mode showing conventional speed and tach garage, while sport mode showing red gear selection, speed and rev...

 

Oh, i see what Fizzboy is saying. This would bother my OCD... The Tach for the rev meter starts at the 9 o clock position, while the tach for the speedo starts at 7 o clock. Ugh. they are not starting at the same position.

 

Based on how the A8 looks and the audi design language, I'm expecting the next a6 to be bland AF, with a hyundai looking front face

 

How can anybody know what the A8 looks like under all that camo?

 

Well we don't know what the A8 will look like, but based on the new A4, A5, Q5, and Q7 I'm thinking the new A6 will look just like the old one. Sure, this new 5er resembles the F10 in many ways, but side to side you can tell they are different cars. Go to Bimmerpost.com and see the visual comparison. The new A4 and old A4 have essentially the same exact character lines, with some minor tweaks to the headlights and tail lights. New A6 will be the same.

That's why I stick by my prediction that the G30 will continue being the most handsome and dynamic-looking vehicle in its segment. E-class looks nice but the design language didn't turn out as well as it did on the S and C-class. It looks super understated. The refreshed GS is nice but is still the oldest vehicle in the segment.

Let's shift focus from the next A8 back to the 5-Series please.

 

The only time the interior of the new 5 from the pics made me appreciate the new design language was the chain-mesh metal trim. Metal on the interior was always a dull afterthought, usually reminding me of someone wrapping their plastic parts with a 3m wrap. The chain mesh design looks awesome, hopefully thats not some kind of weird dull piece made to have 3d print on top.

 

i really like this iteration. i would never buy it, but i really like the way it looks.

 

The new 5er looks nice. Nice evolution of the design.

 

its real mesh aluminum trim, I have that in my car and it's awesome in person. Got little 3D effect in it and nice to touch. Best of all, it won't scratch like the piano black wood trim in my 750Li which had fine scratches from the first cleaning...

 

Off topic, but I have to say that I love the fact that you have two BMWs and a KIA. That really shows you are open-minded and just go for the best all-around vehicle in the segment. The Sedona is nice.
