Acura NSX took over a decade to make a 450hp sports car for an estimated $150+k.
Lexus might just make a ruckus with this if it can outperform it...

I have a feeling though the NSX will weigh less than the Lexus which will be more GT/Lux than the NSX which "should" also handle better. Alas we won't find out for a few more years whether there is an actual turn around for Acura or they're just blowing smoke as usual

True the NSx should be more of a sports car but looking st the new ILX, RLX, mdx that doesn't bode well for the NSx. Have they built the plant yet? There will be room for both and surely comparisons of the sort. It's just good to see some coupes outta Japan and well America. More coupes!!!

UNLESS they will borrow some carbon fiber (any leftovers?) from the LFA???
True, if it's the GT type like you said, it will be heavier than the NSX.
But who knows, NSX is going to have 3 electric motors.
NSX is already printed in the acura brochure, so it looks like it 's got the green light.

Guess we'll see. Hopefully Honda/Acura can use some engineering from their race pedigree (I'm not sure if they are Indy or F1). If we're lucky it'd spawn off a S2000 successor (wishful thinking I know )

I way I see it this LF-LC is one of those super grand tourers in regards to Maserati, Aston but has lots of bite as well. I don't see this being hardcore like the LFA. That's the only reason (well that and the NSX is mid-engine) that the LF-LC and NSX won't be DIRECT but rather indirect competitors. Yeah you'll get a comparison or two but NSX is likely chasing more GT-R, Gallardo/Cabrera, 458's than those uber lux sports cars.

The Soarer/SC have always been a GT, history is repeating itself again. Just like the last round with the Supra/SC, NSX, GTR/300ZX, RX7, they are never direct competitors and all serve a different purposes.
Yes SC350,SC450h,SC600 F, 3.5L Twin Turbo, V6 Hybrid 400kw and V8 GTR Price range is perfect but exclusive
The RC would suit the mass as an affordable Lexus coupe.
