A clear example of road rage from both parties.
Exactly. Both were wrong

Both were wrong. Unacceptable. The cop was being a jerk by driving slowly and pacing traffic (if he was going below the speed limit). The guy was a jerk also and was using his phone while driving and passed illegally and tailgated

The guy in the truck was obviously a redneck, but the cop was an idiot too and this was all his fault. Passes and cuts in front at the absolute last second leaving no room to spare and then immediately hits his brakes on the guy resulting in the collision. It all happened so fast that the idiot in the truck couldn't reasonably be expected to react quickly enough to avoid a collision there.

If this were a "normal person" I'd have done the same thing. And since the cop was out of state and out of his jurisdiction, he effectively becomes a "normal person".

I'm not sure how someone can blame the guy in the truck, obviously all the cops fault. Cop driving side by side with Volvo SUV, holding this guy and not letting him pass, forcing him to use a 3rd lane to get around. Cop lost his cool and brake checked him, not sure what the guy did wrong other then documenting the incident with his cell phone??

They are both idiots. The cop should know better and it's best he step down.

is it illegal to video tape while driving in south carolina? both are in the wrong but if the cop acted normal, only one would be at fault. you swear to oath to lead by example. this is why it's bad for the cop. there is no excuse.

If I were the cop, I'd pull the guy over, release my K9, case closed.

Hand held camera....distracted driver.
