No, the TSX is not an ILX. I've reviewed/test-driven both. The TSX, for about 5K more on the average, seems to be substantially more car than the ILX. The TSX is done on the non-U.S.-market Accord platform (which is slightly smaller than the Accord sold here), while the ILX is based on the not-terribly-impressive Civic platform, and has substantial road noise and a firm ride. The TSX also has the nice Sportwagon option. However, the ILX does offer a hybrid version that the TSX lacks. Neither of them offer optional AWD like the TL and RLX do....a major marketing error, IMO.

Ya but I can't tell the difference at first glance, or 2nd or 3rd glance.

Just like the new ES and GS, I still can't tell the difference between the two. I'm not exaggerating.

so as a consumer, if you can't tell the difference then what is the point of paying more ?

the acura designs have become so unsubstantial that it makes no difference to buy up to more expensive model. In fact, I think the new accord looks better than all of the acura's. It just makes no sense to buy the TL TSX or RSX when you can buy a fully loaded Accord, or the Accord Hybrid.

fully loaded accord vs TL, tsx or RSX...what is the difference ?

The age-old answer to that is......beauty is more than just skin-deep. If you actually drive the ILX and TSX, my opinion (though, of course, I could be wrong) is that you will like the TSX substantially more.

Just like the new ES and GS, I still can't tell the difference between the two.
Again, though I have not personally sampled the new GS, from the reviews/discussion I've seen (and I have test-driven the new ES), again, I think you will like the way the GS drives substantially more.

Acura does offer a better standard factory warranty than Honda (the Acura warranty is equal to that of Lexus, Infiniti, Buick, and Lincoln). But, other than that, I agree....go check out a new Accord and see if you like it.

the ES is the better looking one.

ilx is really dull looking. tsx is pretty elegant and has aged well. tl started out bangle-like-fugly but improvements has made it pretty sharp imo. the rlx is very nice, but not really distinctive enough for anyone to go 'wow', but maybe that's not their intention.

In fact, I think the new accord looks better than all of the acura's.
really liking the new accord, esp. the front, but the back is quite generic and the car appears quite small on the road, although it's VERY space efficient. GREAT car imo.

It just makes no sense to buy the TL TSX or RSX when you can buy a fully loaded Accord, or the Accord Hybrid.
there's no rsx, the tsx will likely go away. the new accord in many ways beats the tsx for sure. the TL though is a bigger / sportier car.

Just looked closely at the pics and almost lost my lunch. What kind of an idiot would buy this as opposed to the others in its class. Oh yeah......flagships have v8 Acura. If you are so fuel obsessed then add turbos like the rest of the civilized world. Get your **** together for Gods sake

TSX will be phased out, but the TL will gain the X. You'll soon see the TLX as the middle child between ILX and RLX

Look at their consumers, no diversity, none. . I guess that is their target, the Lincoln crowd. What a joke.

Fixed for accuracy. If you look on other forums, we at least recognize it is an actual entry in this class. No one is talking about it anywhere else outside of Honda/Acura and they hate it too for the most part. Again its perplexing this is the best they can do after 8 years of the last gen failing and 7 more years of the previous gen failing.

There is a reason we have these here

They still can't get advertising right

This Acura RLX Commercial Will Make You Want To Luxury Vomit
"So they can build an Acura that drives itself. Can they make one that buys itself?" –… Read…
9The new ad for Acura's RLX is such a perfect embodiment of douchey luxury, watching it will make you want to walk to your luxury bathroom and luxuriously vomit into your luxury toilet.

9It's hard to put your finger on exactly what's wrong with the luxury in this luxury car luxury ad. Is the luxury sugar too cubic? Is the luxury suit too shiny? Is the luxury smirk on the luxury car driver's face too luxurious?

9Either way, it's not a good look for a car that is already hopelessly flailing against its luxury car competition.

The RLX... Bomb(ed) so bad they need a Commercial to tell everyone what Consumers thought--if they're even "real consumers".. LOL (I never seen such a ridiculous commercial) Acura is desperate now..

the reviewer referred to the RLX as a midsized sedan.

Flagship is suppose to be fullsized. This now means acura has 4 midsized cars in the line up. The Tsx, The TL, the ILX and now the RLX!!

Look at the literature that our Acura dealership is getting from Acura

Nice to see they are comparing the "flagship" model to competitors non-flagship models. Lol

Engine Response: Both available BMW 5-series engines are turbocharged. Turbocharged engines can occasionally suffer from turbo lag, making it difficult to accelerate smoothly.
