it is exactly as I have written above, you think that because Impreza is underpowered and same CVT in larger car seems fine because car has enough power.

I sampled it in both the new Impreza and Crosstrek....and did a review myself (the Forester uses the same drivetrains). I wasn't impressed. Other reviewers can have their opinions (which I respect)....... but I have mine. I will admit, though, that it helps gas mileage....but a good deal of that increase also comes from the smaller 2.0L displacement of the engine, down from 2.5L in the last-generation.
