BMW M6 Gran Coupe

in any case, never as beautiful as CLS, but no doubt it looks powerful and expensive.

Very nice looking. I gotta wonder though if this will take a lot of sales away from the M5.
I think MBZ deserves a lot of credit for what they did with that original CLS and the market it has given us since with this Gran Coupe, Panamera, and A7.

Four doors, more...... cargo room
Gotta love the 4-door coupe design, so sleek and sexy. I must say, the new 6 Series is definitely a great looking car. Looking forward to seeing one of these air'd out over Vossen wheels lol

I don't think it will hurt M5 sales. It is about 20k more expensive than the M5. It will take away sales from the Panny GTS and Panny Turbo.

I have test driven a lot of cars this year. The one that caused the most emotion is the 650i coupe. I can't get that car out of my mind. It was everything I want in a car....mostly. I love big coupes but this car is really big. I see no reason the coupe is 192 inches long. But it does provide the best legroom of any car I tested.
It's also not as sporty looking. The headlight shape could be better or sleeker and the front facia could be rounder. I understand European gov't regulations dictated the mostly square, hammer head shark-like shape. It's still a beautiful car but I prefer the previous model look by far.
As for the GranCoupe, it actually looks better being so big with the four doors. The car is more balanced looking whereas the coupe stretches the 2 doors too much over the huge frame. But I would never buy it because I am a coupe guy. I drive a GS only because that's all Lexus had for me in a newer car. But no more. If I ever buy another sedan it will be a big sedan...to use them as intended....riding in luxurious style with room to carry others. I use the GS as my sport coupe...which it clearly is not.
The 4-door coupe segment has caught on and added dollars to the manufacturers. It's sort of a gimmick that has caught on for many. Gimmicks often fail but many turn out successful. I ain't hating on it but I don't intend to play along. That 7 series looks way more masculine, powerful, stately and sort of sporty. That's the BMW sedan that makes me swoon.

BMW is diluting its brand by introducing more and more niche models. 6 series grand coupe, 4 series grand coupe, X1, 5 series gran turismo, etc. what happen to the days of only 3, 5 and 7 series main stream product lines and with M3 and M5 for the enthusiasts. this is another reason i like the Lexus brand more and more, easy to identify when you see one on the street.
