New Lexus Models - A Hybrid: NX300h; and a Turbo, NX200t "revealed"

For those of us who grew up in the 80's and 90's, the name "Nissan Pulsar NX" is clouding this new Lexus model. I would have liked to have seen different letters.

NX does indeed sound too soft. They probably know why they did it but letter combos like ZX, TX, PX, DX, SX and even MX would be better sounding choices,\
Maybe it's time for Lexus to introduce 3 letter nameplates like CRX200t )) That would be awesome!

TX = Terminatrix? Or Texas? (Best one of your suggestions)
PX = well, NX sounds better imo.
DX = Reminds me of the old-school Civic DX's. lol (Also those old Corolla DX's)
SX = Nissan
MX = Mazda
CRX = Honda
Not much choice when you're already limited to 2 letters and 1) Second letter has to be an X and 2) So many already affiliated with another brand.
CTX might be alright but that's too many letters imo especially with another h or t tacked to the end. Kind of like the overwrought name of 'LS600hL' *ducks from a thrown brick*

TX would be way too much like Texas.
PX. Anything with "P" is bad because the nickname would include Pee (****).
DX. Too many past base model cars used DX. Accord, Civic, Mitsubishi, Toyota et al.
Like I said, I'd hate to be the one in charge of naming cars. Not much is left.

BTW, am I the only one who thinks that, according to Lexus's naming convention on the hybrids, the NX200t will NOT be actually sporting a 2.0L engine, but instead something like a 1.8L or even a 1.6L?
#56
but it is not hybrid :-). 2.0T will be 2.0l for sure, as Toyota announced 2.0l AR Turbo for one car in 2014, as I am sure you know.

BMW and Mercedes have been playing this performance-based naming game for years now so I think it'll be a good idea for Lexus to keep the numbers in line with the competition just to make the right impressions for marketing reasons.
