What a silly notion, a new ISF will definitely be coming, no doubt about that.

MrSlayX (a very reputable member of the ISF subforum) said a Lexus spokesperson said the ISF was going to be discontinued -

His exact post -

So I was at the Miami International Car show last night and was told by a Lexus spokesperson that the ISF was going be discontinued. In disbelief, I looked around to find no ISF. In not sure if he was full of it or what, but he seemed to have some backing with the fact that no ISF was displayed. We then got into a discussion about the LFA and why so many of them have been sitting in showrooms around miami for this long.... And so I didn't probe more about the ISF.
So now that's two sources claiming the ISF is going to be discontinued (the UK magazine source and now a fellow ISF forum member).

I'm not sure whether or laugh or cry.

IS-F is definitely coming. A lot of people working auto shows don't work directly for Lexus/Toyota. They're just glorified models that are given some product literature.

Their constant improvements to the IS-F with each successive model year should be evidence enough that they are not giving up on this car.

Spokesperson at autoshow knows as much as my dog. Actually my dog might know more since I tell him what I know

You mean 2IS F. The 1IS F was based on the 2IS.

I guess M3 is not at the same gen as 3 series either, people still call M3 based on E90/92, E90/92 M3. IS-F is based on 2IS, so it should be fair to call it 2IS-F.
