How much would you want it to tow ?

I always liked the Tacoma 4 door short box 4x4, that to me is the best 4wd that is currently made by Toyota.

I respect the Tacoma, but when it comes to engineering and build quality, the Land cruiser really is one of the best.
They are very durable and the suspension parts are very beefy ! Its very covered up down their as well , really protected and no parts are hanging out , they are all neatly tucked in.

When the second gen LC came out, every part, including screws, is better than anything offered on the road. Everything is top quality. I had a LX470 before, and it was built like a tank!

Yes, no doubt the Land-Cruiser/LX570 has one of the best 4WD systems in the world for tough off-road conditions. But, for ordinary street use on daily-drivers, it's a lot of overkill, probably wouldn't be needed most of the time (only about 4-5% of today's SUVs, outside of the Jeep Wrangler, ever spend any appreciable time off-road), and certainly is not economy-oriented like smaller car-based systems.

That statistic might be based on the American market, which doesn't account for any considerable number of sales compared to other parts of the globe, such as the Middle East, Africa and Australia were they are very popular and are commonly taken off road.

Technically, the FJ Cruiser, Tacoma 4WD, and 4Runner Trail are superior 4WD Toyota's.

This reminds me of those deadly drifting Dubai videos but the off road version. Those people abusing the heck out of those vehicles!

Due to their smaller size and better departure and arrival angles, yes they are.

However the Land Cruiser is bullet proof ! No other Toyota 4wd has most of its components tucked neatly like the land cruiser, their is a skid plate covering almost everything and all the components are much more durable and much bigger ! The ride offroad is amazing as well and the suspension travel is superior to that of other Toyota's . Its like comparing the Lexus LS and the Lexus ES , sure the ES is luxerious and quiet, but nothing comes close to the LS ! Same goes for the 200 series Land Cruiser . It packs comfort, reliability , built quality and capability in a very neat yet pricey package .
Over seas you can get stripped down versions for a cheaper price and you can also get the Land Cruiser 70 series workhorse range which is very capable and durable.
