I had always adored the E36 M3 as a kid and the E46 330i Sport/M3 as pre-teen/teenager. Wanted one as a first car, but sadly got a top-spec Hyundai Sonata instead as my mother literally didn't feel any of us were worthy of a BMW until it had been 10 years since her first one ('01 740iL M-Sport). I have to ask why they are showing the facelifted E46(from 2001-2004/05) which didn't even exist in 1998 at its debut? This is what the original E46 1999-2001 looked like in July 1997. Earliest photo of it available. It's like everyone forgot about it and it doesn't exist.
