What year is your IS? I'm not sure about the Euro-market IS diesel models, but, here in the states, in 2001 and 2002, a number of the IS300 automatics had electronic-programming problems that resulted in quirky shifts and acceleration problems in second and third gears....and some unrelated problems on low-speed rolling-starts. These often persisted even after factory re-programmings.
