Spyshots: Ferrari F70 Test Mule Spotted in Maranello
http://www.gtspirit.com/2012/06/07/s...-in-maranello/
A couple of spyshots have surfaced via FerrariChat. They are the first to reveal something about the new hypercar’s shape and styling details! The pictures reveal a low, wide and heavily camouflaged car. The doors appear to be shared with the Enzo, Ferrari’s last hypercar while the rear is visibly lower and longer than we’ve seen before.
Other features include a rear engine cover similar to the P4/5 Competizione, a distinctive rear diffuser and a set of quad exhausts. Interestingly, the same day as these images have surfaced, Autoblog.nl also released a new set of rumours detailing the engine specifications. While we expected the F70 to use the HY-KERS system coupled to a V12 engine, the latest rumours suggest this could have as much as 1,000hp.
The rumours also suggest that the power will drive all four wheels. Autoblog state that the details come from a customer who already has an order for an F70. We’ve been expecting to see the F70 before the year ends, however, Autoblog believe that is now going to be March next year at the Geneva Motor Show 2013.

the shape of the body looks very slippery. It will slice the air and have low drag by the looks of it. No surprise. I am assuming that the top speed will be at least 225mph

Contrary to the hopes of everyone attending the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, The Motor City will not stage the debutante ball of the successor the Ferrari Enzo. Before the Detroit show rumor, it was thought that we'd see the coupe, referred to as the F70, for the first time at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
The Geneva timeline makes more sense, seeing the amount and kind of camo the car is still wearing on roads around Maranello, as seen here caught by a man-on-the-street. Copious amounts of hard plastic cladding, the faux-shovel snout and miles of gaffer tape hide the body from view. If Detroit were a go, then we'd expect to see the hybrid supercar out somewhere with the cloth and canvas cladding the Italians switch to when D-Day is close. As it is, other than a new set of wheels, this looks like the same cladding we saw the car wearing in June, when it looked a lot more spiffy.
Or maybe not – Ferrari CEO Luca di Montezemolo said earlier this year that "At the end of the year, we'll also be unveiling the new Enzo, a limited series model and our first-ever hybrid car." But we don't yet know whether Montezemolo is referring to a public unveiling, as at an auto show, or a private event for potential buyers. We have six weeks to find out whether the camo or the CEO has it right.

This is a special beast. Ferrari only makes a halo hyper car like this every 10 years so this is going to rock the industry and raise the bar

F12 is priced near the Aventador. It's Front (M)R (like the LFA), it's weight distribution is 47/53 front rear. It's got more power than the Aventador as well. This car will cost nearly a million bucks. There's no way this is Aventador competition. This is McLaren P1, Porshce 918 competition.

You're looking at our best view yet of the upcoming successor to the Ferrari Enzo. Rumors kicking around the web insist the new reigning monarch of the Italian kingdom will carry the "F150" name when it bows, otherwise known as the Special Limited Series. Word has it Ferrari has focused all of its experience in Formula One to create the new model. According to the manufacturer's official online magazine, the new ultracar will boast a carbon fiber monocoque chassis built in "an almost handmade style" using four types of the composite. We aren't sure exactly what that means, but the design should keep weight to a minimum.
Power should come courtesy of an 800 horsepower V12 engine married to a HY-KERS system good for an additional 100 hp. Early estimates say the creation will tip the scales at under 3,000 pounds, which means the vehicle will be a performance marvel. Sounds like a party.
