Thanks for the kind words everyone. It's nice to get a few kudos after working solo for so long.

Sorry, but either you get it or you don't.

It's a T56. I wanted a V160, but they are too expensive.

The two things my budget for this project impacted the most were the choice of transmission, and the choice of wheels. I don't really like them that much, but they were the best I could do considering the sizes and offsets that I had to have. I don't think anyone even makes a 17" or 18 X 10 wheel that fits the oldschool style--oldschool style wheels are 15" and smaller. Besides, if you look at my windshield banner you will see that I am not that worried about style.

I love my truck! That thing has been hauling my projects around for the last 12 years.

Thanks again,

Very cool project! Thanks for sharing. I would love to see the look on everyone's face when you pull up in that.

I had a question for you about the transmission. I'm in the process of restoring a 1940 Ford pickup and actually finished test fitting a 1UZ in it this past weekend (fits perfectly!). One thing I'm working on now is how to mate a T56 to the 1UZ. Any other suggestions on a trans that would have worked? I'm going to be twin turboing the 1UZ, so I'm worried that I'll need something stronger than an R154.

Hi Mark,

You sir, got major skills and dedication, I have high respect for you

Can you tell me what is a 180 degree header? And how does it sounds now? What car does it sounds the closest to?

No style? I think it looks really cool. Those fender faires are huge! Any cars with fender faires like that automatically looks HOT! Where are those faires from?
