Valet parking suck......but some parking lot in NYC is valet only. I try to avoid but sometime you have no choice. Two month ago, I was late to a important meeting and the place is valet only parking. Two day later, my wife found out her Dior sun glass was missing and the coin purse (for parking meter) was gone.

Need less to said, it was stolen by the valet The parking lot deny everything and we have to call the NYPD......however, the cop don't want to write a report since it was two days ago. They even blame us for leaving valuable on the car. I later found out that all the valet in this lot has criminal record.....not surprise!!!

Hate to hear this. I know sometime we have to valet, but in a city like Phoenix it will never happen. I usually just drop my passengers off and go park it myself.

I hate valet only places, guess what? They just lost my business. I turn around and go to a place that I can self park.

You want me to leave my car keys with you for a few days, while I am on a cruise ? Um, No, it just invites trouble, there are plenty of places to park cars in secure locations and you hang on to the keys.
This is far worse then any normal restaurant valet, that only has access to your car a few minutes at most...

Actually I shouldn't say never, I would valet if I am driving a car like this to save the hassle of parking myself. No valet will joyride that and the car certainly can't get any worse, so why not? No tips either
