Not pretty, but non of the cargo/shuttle vans look good.

I kind like it too.

Dear god.

It looks the ugly offspring of a Nissan Cube and Infiniti QX56.

As unfashionable as this van is, there is a niche for it. It is currently occupied by the Ford Econoline E-350. We all know them and have all seen them. They are the 15 passenger vans that shuttle services use, as well as hotels use to shuttle people and move luggage. Also LOTS of contractors use this van to do their handy work, but the current ford van is aging and reliability has ALWAYS been an issue. Being in a bit of a service industry myself, I get a more unique perspective on what is used in the "utilitarian" market and right now the Econoline is king. There simply is nothing else on the market, aside from the more pricier sprinter van, to offer them the space they need in order to do their work and haul their equipment. I've seen a few of these new Nissans around as Roadside assist vehicles, plumbers work truck, carpet installers are loving the room this thing has, and even a few hotels I have seen in my travels are using them as their people mover. Yeah, it is NOT the most desired looking vehicle, but Nissan is trying to carve a niche into the place that Ford has been occupying for decades.

The hood on this van is at least twice as long as all the other van I have ever seen.

Now if you want a high-end van, your search stops here:

Mercedes (and Dodge Sprinter) serve as the platform for a van conversion that's finished as an executive jet, with leather, reclining thrones, (optional "throne" in the rear). Sat TV, high-speed internet via 4g network w/ wifi hotspot, couches, refrigerators, wine coolers, cigar humidors, and traces of precious woods, metals and stonework throughout the coach . . . all built to order.

Forgot about that van. It also is a favorite with contractors as well. Bottom line is that I think this Nissan will find a better niche in the "commercial market" rather than with just the average consumer. Unfortunately, the age of the "full size van" has passed. This looks like they are trying to get the space of a full size van while trying to get it to LOOK like a sport ute. Is definqately not gonna win any beauty awards.

On a different note,, that Sprinter van is just ideal for ALOT of applications and it looks good too. There is just SOOO much you can do to them and it just works.
