Several fails with this "ipple." The name alone is enough, let alone the dress/drag attire, price, and lack of performance difference of other G's.

While I understand the yen is terrible what I don't understand is Infiniti shares TONS of parts so why are the prices going just as high? 60k for this is ridiculous. Sadly the IPL coupe hasn't sold well at all. It looks better in person than in pics to me and a drop with 20s really completes the look. Infiniti has got to showcase their value. In comparos and reviews the performance hasn't added up at all vs a G37S.
50k for the coupe and 60k for the convertible? That is asking way to much. And the name is IPL..its literally Infiniti G37 Infinitii Performance Line

Still, however, for the money, Infiniti does seem to be using some nice-quality parts/materials now (and that quality, as you note, doesn't come cheap). I've noticed the difference from just a few years ago.

A big problem here also is that even with nearly 350hp, the G37 IPL still isn't any faster than the regular 335i which also 0-60's in 5.5s. And it gets easily outrun by the 335is which still only makes 320hp (5.0s to 60). This makes it look like the Infiniti is over-promising but under-delivering, which is bad. It's the torque advantage of turbocharging. It gets beat off the line and never catches back up. So if they want "pricing parity" (from the other thread), maybe they ought to fix this issue, too. Car enthusiasts aren't stupid when it comes to performance stats...
