2013 Lexus RX Facelift Gets Spindle Grille and New F-Sport Variant

Following in the footsteps of its bigger brother, the 2013 Lexus LX 570 that was introduced in January, the refreshed RX gains a new fascia featuring Lexus's new trademark spindle grille along with revised headlamps sporting LED daytime running lights and a redesigned front bumper.
Also new are the tail lamp graphics and the alloy wheel designs.
The interior gets a news steering wheel design and refreshed trim options while as Carscoop tipster Leopaul pointed out; Lexus will also be offering a new optional rear-seat entertainment system on high-range models.
Perhaps even more importantly, Lexus is also introducing a new F Sport variant on the RX 350 and RX 450h Hybrid (Japan also gets an RX 270 model).
The scanned pictures reveal that the F Sport trim adds a unique front fascia with a honeycomb-style insert, a spoiler kit, tinted lights and larger alloy wheels on the outside, plus a sports steering wheel, seats and trim including alloy pedals on the inside.
We couldn't translate the text (any help would be appreciated) but we assume that, like the new GS F Sport, the RX F Sport models should also benefit from several chassis tweaks.
Look for the updated 2013 Lexus RX making its online debut within the next few weeks.

wow i cant believe it leaked
funny the spindle grill seems to be the most adventurous on the RX
what is interesting is that for the first time, the RX gets horizontal grill slats
Im not feeling it either....

May be able to live with the new base model front end of the 2013 RX450h, but no-way the F-Sport front-end option -- if it were the only look, it would force me to look at something else after more than 13 years continuously owning Lexus RX. I guess I must be too much of an old-timer (in early 50's) to accept that look for my own ride. Based on these photos, I'm really happy to take delivery of my new 2012 RX450h that is confirmed for production the week of Feb 20th, and take delivery next month. I'm really happy to have the last of an era it appears.

The F-sport really works. The regular version is ok. Not horrible but way better than the very boring current model
I have seen multiple GS350 in person and my opinion is that is works on some colors and not on others. White looked bad while black looked incredible.
I can't wait to see the RX in person.

Maybe a little over scooped in the fog light area on the regular version but still doable. Sport is not bad but I have no intention of taking my RX to the race track and will not pay the extra $$$$.
I wonder if they are going to differentiate the front ends between the 350 and the 450.
