Progressive "Snapshot" causes check engine light and dead battery?
About 2 weeks ago, my wife insisted that we install Progressive's "snapshot" devices into two of our cars in hopes of reducing our insurance premiums. Since then, I now have a check engine light that has come on in our GS430 and a dead battery in our Lincoln LS.
I have never had a check engine light on in our GS. I take beyond perfect care of our vehicles to eliminate such incidents. Has anyone else experienced a check engine light after plugging a "snapshot" device into your vehicle? How about dead batteries? I take my Lincoln LS out once every one to two weeks for a quick drive to keep the battery from dying as it is not one of our daily drivers anymore. I have never had a dead battery until now.
