Simply put, in the case of the new Altima, what can be said is: "Wow, Nisaan really did wonders to improve the Xtronic CVT even further."

Brilliant indeed
i wonder if it will be weird that every time you feather touch the gas, rpms will jump since 1450 is simply too low to get any power out of it.

one of the reviews mentioned getting 26mpg average, which is really nothing special... we will see how real world is that in one of the comparo's.

None of the reviews mention any throttle touchiness so i doubt it. The low rpm is the cruising rate on the highway.

The 26mpg in the review was the result of a mix of driving habits.
Our observed 26 mpg, achieved in a mix of 80-mph freeway driving, city traffic, and a quick strafe through canyon roads, is closer to the 27-mpg EPA city number.

The more I read about this car and the comments here, the more I feel Toyota went to sleep with the new Camry. This new Nissan is bristling with innovations and style. I hope Toyota gets the message it can't settle, which it did with the Camry. Didn't the new standout Sonota get their attention?

Wow Nissan really did a great job with this new Altima! This interior styling is great and so is the exterior. Gotta love some of those features too. They really made a huge improvement over the outgoing model. If it's everything it looks to be from these reviews, we'll probably trade in my fiance's 08 Altima Hybrid for one down the road. It looks like it will definitely be a winner for Nissan.

This thing is going to sell like complete hotcakes. I don't see any glaring faults at all.

Infiniti can't be happy at all with it looks so much like a M37, even the extra window treatment in the rear now. To those with observant eyes the wheels look like the last gen GS 450h updated wheel

Which is funny cause the base G25/37 wheel looks just like the first GS 450h wheel

Anderson Cooper gives away a new Altima. The girl is really sweet and incredibly shy. The car doesn't show up until 2 minutes into video. Looks very upscale.

Default 2013 Nissan Altima

so, does the new Altima appear to share some styling with the LS460?...or maybe everything is starting to look alike?

I don't see anything about the Altima that looks like the LS personally......
