So let's see a show of hand, how many people are from HK reading this thread?

For folks who like to see exotics on the street of HK, this is a great thread:

Cars and Coffee in HK:

Is fun to see a Murcie that barely fit thru a construction zone:

This is my favorite picture, the 2 extreme of rich and poor, this was when the 458 1st came out in August of 2010:

These 2 shots shows it, the people walking on the street are the VAST majority of HK's population, the 99%......waiting for the bus, just walking. The folks in the exotics are the 1%.

This guy don't want to be seen

This old guy is having a family outing in his modded EVO 9

hahaha a lot of nice shots there. yup, that's how crazy it is in hong kong. road / space / condition aren't really great for driving at all, let alone exotics. but heck you find a lot of them around.

compare to what? i don't think majority of them are "poor". enough to have a day in day out living, sure. getting 2k a month doesn't necessary mean "poor", living standard and everything together counts. comparing to what people earn in the US is pointless. in fact i have a feeling most people in hong kong probably have more savings than americans.

well ok, americans are poor. ok let's not get this thread moved to debate forum...

They are being held back by the RHD requirements too, since quite a few exotics are LHD only, that's why we don't see cars like the F50, Enzo on the street.

Low pay, expensive housing = poor. They have low cash flow.

Folks in the U.S. have much higher pay, similar housing cost.

Yes folks in HK have more savings because Americans blow money like crazy.

Yes I know. D&G must be laughing now that it is crashed.

Yes, they don't even have common sense, why would a D&G exec protest in front of his own store? Beside, a D&G exec probably can't afford to own a Zonda F.

and what's funny is in terms of driving speed, it's sooo slow in hong kong. equivalent of 80mph is considered very very fast in hong kong already

Exotics are not about the speed, is all about the sounds and looks and the presence. Is all just showing off and bragging rights. The more exotic the car is, the slower they drive by to make sure people see who is driving

The more crappy the car is, they faster they drive and the darker the window tint, cause the driver don't want to be seen in it
