Whould you happen to know what the sales numbers for Mexico are?
#49
I would guess the offer it because it is their classic vehicle and not everyone wants Lexus nor everyone has Lexus dealer close by.
But it is clear by those numbers that Land Cruiser 200, the expensive one (there are other variants), sells at least 100,000 per year world wide. Those are quite the numbers for such expensive and huge vehicle.
Toyota has some official numbers for LC, but there are several variants of LC world wide, not every one is that expensive.

It's often hard to get legitimate sales-figures for Mexico because of the country's notorious SUV-theft rings. Because the country's poor, rough roads and extensive off-roading create a demand for SUVs, they are often stolen in the U.S. or other countries, clandestinely shipped or driven to Mexico, and have their VINs altered and re-sold/re-registered fraudulently. The LC is in especially high demand because of its durability/reliabilty, comfort, and adaptibility to a wide range of off-road conditions.

If you look closely it looks like Lexus added the vortex generators near the side mirrors just like on the 2012 Camry. The rear better but the new grille looks tacky with the chrome abruptly ending halfway down the bumper. I guess it is because the grille itself so big.
