I don't understand how you don't have a choice, I am guessing the cars with the AMG sport package worth a whole lot more then the regular car so they are out of your set budget?

A lot of people just change the badge, there is a guy in my town with a C300 gone as far as having an entire C63 rear bumper with a C63 qual exhaust, it is pretty convincing if you are directly behind it, then the tiny single piston brakes gave it away Of course he never floors it to let that tiny V6 roars.......lol
The worse is in Hong Kong, because cars actually do cost A LOT. It is actually much cheaper to make fake M and AMG out of the base model cars, so they exist everywhere. I remember at one point at the E36 era I think, BMW actually sold 318i with a complete M3 body kit and wheels and everything, it looks identical outside.............that was so lame.
Fake cars are actually very rare here in the U.S. since the real deal doesn't really cost THAT much more.

Keep it original. no need to fake it all out with different badges and bumpers and stuff. I laugh when I see the S550 badge and the AMG badge together on the trunk lid. Anyway, Sweet ride to the OP. Love the CL. I'm thinking about getting one when I get around to selling my SC300.. (never!) but thought it might be a bit much with a S550 already. But now that I see you have an LS and a CL, it doesn't seem like it would be too much anymore at all! LOL
MBworld is boring as not many people do things to these cars as prices to really do anything is pretty astronomical. So a lot of discussions about rims and a few on upgrading to later model parts.

you posted in w221 forum? yeah outside of C and E forum, you don't see much activities
i am not trying to be political polite here, but i can't decide which one i prefer more at this point yet. i like driving the s more than the ls, but i don't like the added attention and electronics.
in terms of passengers i know people prefer my s over the ls
