Recommend a Jump Starter + Air compressor in one
Hey guys. I'm looking for a jump starter that also has an air compressor. Now the important part is that it MUST have a pressure gauge in PSI units. I've seen some with the air compressor, but they don't have the pressure gauge, which is useless in my opinion, if I need to inflate my tires.
Interesting, i was planning on getting one myself too! Looking at this one right now on Amazon. Might be worth checking out for yourself too!

I didn't even think about checking for the gauge

That's actually the same one I was looking at, but I read some of the reviews and one of the reviewers said the pressure gauge is inaccurate, so that does me no good. Not sure if I can trust what he says, so I'll keep that one in mind and continue my search.
Buy them separately. No sense in throwing out both when one goes bad. And one will.
It's like buying a TV with a VCR in it. Just a bad idea for the sake of packaging. Plus the compressors they package with jump starters are garbage.
I've done TONS of research on this.
For the compressor, get a VIAIR. A model that uses clamps on the battery NOT a cigarette lighter plug. The clamp models are higher amperage and much better. The 90P is a great unit.

Don't be tempted to buy the chinese copies of these by Q industries.
As for the jump starter, I'd recommend you skip it and get a high quality set of jumper cables, minimum 6 gauge, 4 is better. Why? Because jump starters run on lead acid batteries and these things need normal replacement. If you just buy one and chuck it in your trunk, I gaurantee you the day you need it a year later it will be dead. Jumper cables never go bad and there's always another car battery around you can use for power, unless you are off roading alone in the boonies.
Another idea, is a nice tire plug kit. Blackjack makes the best one I have seen and I'd thoroughly recommend it. Trust me, the cheaper kits suck and are impossible to use and injure your hands. You have to spend right on this one.

Lastly, get yourself a nice pencil tire gauge by Milton. Compressor mounted gauges are no good and they don't help when you just need to check pressures as normal maintenance.
I run these items in both my cars and they have saved my *** repeatedly. Plus you can offer help to others if the need arises. And it always does.
Build yourself this little survival kit and you won't regret it!
