looks like a legit supercar.
In an email to Autoblog, Acura's Gary Robinson said the following:
"As you may know, Acura has been in the Marvel Comics Universe films as the official car of their fictional law enforcement agency called S.H.I.E.L.D. That relationship continues for The Avengers.
The open-top sports car that was photographed yesterday is a one-off, fictional car that was made just for the movie and will not be produced.
That said, as you may also know, our CEO has said publicly that we are studying the development of a new sportscar, but we can't say any more about it at this time."

The real interview
In an email to Autoblog, Acura's head of never developing anything product development "Wei SuckithBalls" said the following:
"As you may know, Acura's Tier 1 and anything of interest plans are just as fictional as the Marvel Comics Universe films. That relationship continues for The Avengers.
The open-top sports car that was photographed yesterday is a one-off, fictional car that was made just for the movie and will not be produced just like the V-8 RL, next NSX, RWD platforms and anything that will actually make them a luxury brand.
That said, as you may also know, our CEO has said publicly that we are studying the development of a new sportscar even though he said the LFA and supercars are stupid even though we had an AWD V-10 sports car in development, we can't say any more about it at this time outside its a Civic hybrid based car with IMA good for an incredible 32 MPG and 170hp."
When Robert Downey Jr. was asked about the car he replied "this is some bullcrap and I didn't read the entire contract, I thought we had Audi's what is this crap" and went on a drunken rampage.

Don't you just hate it when directors who doesn't know anything about cars would shamefully take endorsements from ugly brands and put it in an awsome movie.
It's already established that Stark drives an Audi and that's what he should be driving in this movie. Maybe let Thor drive the ugly beak since he doesn't know the ugly brands from good and let Ironman crack jokes about how he gave up riding a horse to a bird beak.
